CHALLENGE: Design a new logo and establish the brand identify of the Drunkenomics podcast. Additionally, create multiple designs based off of the podcast that could be sold on various merchandise items.
SOLUTION:
The new logo was created to simplify the combination of drinking and economics in a way that would be more responsive at various sizes and versatile for printing. It captures the seriousness of the topic of economics with the overall structure and finance-themed color palette, but the lighthearted aspect of the podcast that comes with both co-hosts drinking in the softer hand-drawn strokes and font choices.
The additional merch designs feature phrases commonly brought up on the podcast along with imagery tailored to the co-hosts and brand, such as "Hair of the Dog" alongside the illustration of Flynn, James's dog.
